That is correct.  We are in conversations with a few companies who
might be interested in funding additional development, but nothing is
concrete at this time.  (In fact, now that I've mentioned this in a
public mailing list, probably this won't happen :)

You will find some discussions on that mailing list, essentially
related to bug fixes and how to keep open80211s operational as people
work on other areas of the 802.11 stack.
