Hello Attila,
802.11s is still DCF so there is problem of CSMA/CA.
On Warsaw University of Technology 802.11 s was very very softly tested
on magicbox platform by autonet students group.
AS> Hello ,
AS> I am doing my masters thesis on evaluating mesh networks.
AS> I would like to do some measurements and evaluate the open80211s
AS> implementation.
AS> I am new to this list, but I am willing to help and share what I have found
AS> during my test.
AS> However, to start evaluating I would like to get a brief overview of what is
AS> included and what is not in the current version. (I have a 2.6.32.8 kernel
AS> version on a Debian Etch system).
AS> So here are a few things I would like to know:
AS> - path selection metric protocol (is Airtime Link Metric Protocol
AS> implemented?)
AS> - is MCCA (Mesh Controlled Channel Access) or formerly called MDA (Mesh
AS> Deterministic Access) implemented or the the implementation uses the EDCA
AS> (Enhanced Distributed Channel Access) which was formerly called DCF
AS> (Distribued Coordination Function)... these namings are killing me ... :)
AS> - as far as I have seen there is no security implemented yet ... is that
AS> right?
AS> - what about congestion control?
AS> Thank you!
AS> Attila
