Hello ,
I am doing my masters thesis on evaluating mesh networks.
I would like to do some measurements and evaluate the open80211s
implementation.
I am new to this list, but I am willing to help and share what I have found
during my test.
However, to start evaluating I would like to get a brief overview of what is
included and what is not in the current version. (I have a 2.6.32.8 kernel
version on a Debian Etch system).
So here are a few things I would like to know:
- path selection metric protocol (is Airtime Link Metric Protocol
implemented?)
- is MCCA (Mesh Controlled Channel Access) or formerly called MDA (Mesh
Deterministic Access) implemented or the the implementation uses the EDCA
(Enhanced Distributed Channel Access) which was formerly called DCF
(Distribued Coordination Function)... these namings are killing me ... :)
- as far as I have seen there is no security implemented yet ... is that
right?
- what about congestion control?
Thank you!
Attila
