2.6.26 has initial support, provided that CONFIG_MAC80211_MESH is
enabled in your kernel config.  If it is not, you'll need to build
your own kernel with that enabled.  That said, in 2.6.26 there is only
support for the zd1211rw driver so I would recommend building the
latest wireless-testing kernel or using compat-wireless to get better
driver support (and more mesh features, fixes, etc).  At this point,
2.6.26 is quite old.
