trying to set up mesh

Hi everybody.

While setting up  mesh I cannot get through the first point. Giving a
command:

sudo iw dev wlan0 interface add meshnetwork type mp mesh_id MESH_LAN

what i get is: command failed: Invalid argument (-22)

I have just installed new Ubuntu with 2.6.31 kernel. lsmod shows that
mac80211 and ath5k are running. I should mention that iw verison is 0.9.14.
Wlan0 interface is down. Putting it in up state doesn't change anything.
What do you think about that error?
