Multi-channel mesh

Hi all, I'm working know since a few days on setting up a multi-hop mesh
network.
I've got several dual-radio alix nodes each equipped with two Atheros AR5414
chipsets, runnning ath5k driver on Openwrt.
I'm able at least to set up a three-node mesh in a multi-hop scenario on one
single channel (and obviously the same mesh ID), anyway I'm rather
interested in exploiting the two radios of the core node (acting as a l2
relay) on distinct (non-overlapping) channels while partcipating in the same
single mesh with the other two nodes.
In other words I wouldn't like to bridge the two wireless interfaces and let
things work via l3 routing between two distinct meshes.
Despite all my attempts I've not been able in achieving my goal.

Is this thing possible/already implemented in o11s?

Cheers, Domenico.
