I also suggest installing the compat-wireless tarball (I believe
that's what the direct you to do).  You can indeed reboot because the
install scripts do the right thing in getting the zd1211rw driver to
take priority over the vendor driver.  Rekik -- you might want to
simply do that (ie: reboot your machine).
