Mesh test at scale

I have an opportunity to install mesh points on 16 - 25 fresh machines in a
data center (this weekend).

Are tests worth running at this scale? What functionality should the tests
cover?

These will be in close physical proximity, so distance won't be a test
factor.

Thanks for any suggestions. I would be glad to share the results from what
we learn,
