open80211s is the implementation of the 802.11s protocol in the Linux
kernel (layer 2).
open-mesh is an online management system for mesh networks.  The mesh
nodes they use either OLSR or BATMAN for routing, both layer 3 (some
say 2.5) protocols.  I believe Open-Mesh could  to decide to support
open80211s nodes as well (...not that I know of any plans to do so).
