routing project

Hello,

I'm a 4th year Software Engineering student who has to do a
project/dissertation.  My plan for this is to look at the 802.11s
stack and see how I can modify the routing algorithms, essentially to
add metrics based on how reliable links are found to be, and to
periodically check if a better route is available.  However, though
documentation seems scarce (I still haven't been able to find the
draft 802.11s proposal), it seems to me that HWMP already implements
things along these lines, so I was wondering, is this the case? If so,
is there an alternative someone could suggest for a project that is
similar?
