iw :command not found

Hi ;

I
compiled iw after installing libnl-1.0-pre8 and put it in /bin  and which iw returns /bin/iw
but when I type the command:
"iw dev wmaster0 interface add mesh type mp mesh_id $MESH_ID"
it returns : iw command not found 
so I put iw in /bin and "which iw" returns /bin/iw
"iw dev wmaster0 interface add mesh type mp mesh_id $MESH_ID" returns also
iw: symbol lookup error: iw: undefined symbol: genl_connect
