o11s on Atheros PCI. iproute2 make failed

hi
    i am trying to use the o11s code with Atheros cards on PCI slots. I 
have downloaded the o11s code and configured the kernel as instructed 
and booted in to it...Now the i am trying to install the iproute2 
package. I patched the sources and when i run make, i get the error

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `ipmshpath.o', needed by `ip'.  Stop.

am i missing something?
